The Parish Pastoral Council exists to support and strengthen the evangelising, worshipping, and caring mission of our Parish. Working as consultors to the Parish Priest, council members help foster the spiritual and pastoral life of the whole community, reflecting the shared calling of all the baptised to participate in the mission of Christ.

The Council provides a structured way for parishioners to bring their needs, gifts, and voices into the life of the Parish. Engaging with insights from the parish community, it undertakes pastoral planning that is attentive to the Gospel, aligns with the vision of the Archdiocese, and responds to the needs of those it serves.

Through a spirit of open dialogue and discernment, the Council offers recommendations to the Parish Priest that help guide the collective response to the spiritual and pastoral needs of God’s people, both within our Parish and in the wider community.

In accordance with the Canon 537 of the Code of Canon Law, each parish is required to have a Finance Committee to assist the Parish Priest in the administration of the goods of the Parish. The Committee acts in an advisory capacity, assisting the Parish Priest in fulfilling his canonical responsibility for the governance of Parish temporal affairs.

The Committee assists the Parish Priest in preparing and reviewing the annual budget, monitoring income and expenditure, overseeing the maintenance and management of Parish property and assets, and ensuring that financial reporting obligations to the Archdiocese are met. Where required, the Committee also provides advice on significant capital works or financial commitments affecting the Parish.

Members of the Finance Committee are appointed in accordance with Archdiocesan norms and are expected to bring relevant professional expertise alongside a genuine commitment to the life and mission of the Parish. In discharging their responsibilities, members uphold the highest standards of transparency and accountability, recognising that the faithful administration of Parish resources is a participation in the Church’s broader mission of service.
